Band membership fluctuates annually but maintains a level of around 33 members of all ages and abilities above Grade 5, who enjoy playing together and performing at different concerts and events throughout the year in and around the disitrict of Alnwick. Rehearsals are held in the Playhouse every Monday evening from 7.30 p.m. until 9.30 p.m. playing from a broad musical repertoire that includes a mixture of classical, jazz, modern film and TV themes. If you play a brass, reed/woodwind or percussion instrument and are interested in joining, or would like more information, please contact our Secretary Lorena Field-Boden or the Band's conductor, Ray Thompson at mailto:music2007@gmail.com. Ray has an excellent background and experience to lead the Band. He remains very committed to keeping the Band playing at a high level.

If you also represent a group that would like us to play a concert for you or contribute to a function you are staging, please feel free to contact our Secretary Lorena Field-Boden as well See the band members at rehearsal in the PLayhouse on a Monday night. Also If you want to read what comments people are making about our band past and present login to Alnwick Playhouse Concert Band Blog: http://apconcertband.blogspot.com
or read up on the many Thank You notes from different venue: St Cuthberts Bedlington, The Lesbury Fete and St Michaels's Flower Festival. We have alot of fun at school concerts, our annual picnic and wine tastings
