Friday November 20 2009 the Alnwick PLayhouse Concert Band and the Alnwick Community Choir combined to perform 'The Last Night of the Proms' with conductors Ray Thompson and Peter Brown and Master of Ceremonies Alex Swailes.
The programme was carefully chosen to reflect the the chosen theme of Last Night of the Proms. Both choir and Concert band performed together and separately to reflect their individual strengths. A full house enjoyed both the traditional and different styles of the two groups. Peter Swailes also performed from The Tyneside Suite, much to the enjoyment of the audience
