Friday November 14 2008 the Alnwick PLayhouse Concert Band delivered a memorable concert in the Alnwick Playhouse in aid of a Lions Fund for the victims of a recent flooding in Rothbury where many lost their home and all their possessions. Memorable also lwas the effort band members put into suitable pirate costumes for the event which was a programme of Movies and Musicals theme music again ably conducted by resident conductor Ray Thompson. Each piece of theme music was humorously introduced by Glen or Andrew to add both significance and weight to the choices for the night.
